Here’s how to set the Samsung Galaxy S20 language. The changes to the Galaxy S20 language will impact all apps and user interface settings. This includes third-party applications. However, you will need separate settings to modify the Galaxy S20 keyboard’s language settings. Don’t worry, we will show you how to modify the language settings for the Galaxy S20 as well as the Galaxy S20’s keyboard language settings. These instructions work also for the Galaxy S20+ Plus.

How to modify language settings:

  • Turn on Galaxy S20.
  • Select the Settings icon from the homepage.
  • Select the My Device option from the top right corner of the screen.
  • Select Language and input under Input and control.
  • Click on Language at the top of the screen.
  • Select the language you wish to make the Galaxy S20 a standard.

How to modify the keyboard language:

  • Turn on Galaxy S20.
  • Select the Settings icon from the homepage.
  • You can find the Language and Input sections under the System section.
  • Click on the gear icon to select the language that you would like to use.
  • Check the box beside the language you wish to use and remove any languages you do not wish to use.
  • When you begin using the keyboard, swipe to the side on the space bar. This will allow you to switch keyboards if there are multiple.

How can I find my language?

Rooting your Galaxy S20 is necessary if the language you need cannot be found on the pre-installed language list.

  • Root your Samsung Galaxy
  • Install MoreLocale 2
  • Run MoreLocale 2 to tap the custom locale at the top.
  • To choose your country and language, tap the ISO639/ISO3166 buttons. Then, tap Set.
